Eric Tamrazian

As a Senior Research Associate, he worked to develop gene therapy and microsurgery techniques aimed at treating Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. My responsibilities included performing spinal cord surgeries on transgenic mouse, immunological analysis, viral delivery optimization, immunofluorescence studies, writing grants, maintaining animal facility and teaching medical students in animal surgery techniques.

I conducted analytical research work on adult ferret’s retina in order to map out a mosaic distribution of retinal amacrine cells.My duties included maintenance of animal colonies, perfusion, tissue harvesting, tissue preparation with histological stains and conducting quantitative analysis on retinal cell subtypes in order to understand distributive mosaics in adult ferret retinas.

I worked as a research associate exploring therapeutic ways to ameliorate posterior uveitis. My responsibilities included animal surgery, retinal implants, cryostat sectioning, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry and perfusions.
