Unveiling Event Pays Tribute to Donors
At a festive event on Wednesday October 24, 2012 Yo San University paid tribute to its benefactors with the unveiling of the University’s new donor wall. Guests were greeted by YSU founders, Dr. Dao Shing Ni, Dr. Mao Shing Ni and Sum-Yee Wang as well as by Yo San University President, Dr. Larry Ryan After cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Qi Studio Larry Ryan initiated the evening’s program by welcoming all and recapping the significant difference in quality in both educational n clinical services that is provided by the generosity of donors. Next on the program was a brief narrative PowerPoint history of the University presented by Dr. Mao, who shared insights regarding his grandfather, Yo San, and his father Om Ni, whose life paths of writing, teaching and Traditional Chinese Medicine practice inspired the founding of the University. After the presentation the group reconvened in the first floor lobby where both Dr. Dao and Dr. Mao offered greetings and expressions of appreciation. With a firm tug on the curtains concealing the donor wall, Dr. Dao and Dr. Dao revealed the magnificent Tree of Wisdom and Wellness
complete with its multiple branches, leaves, acorns, stones and auxiliary trees each with the names of donors proudly inscribed. The Tree of Wisdom and Wellness
was designed and crafted by a company in Wassau, Wisconsin and expertly installed by Yo San University Student, Jose Bermudez. The tree is fitting reminder of the breadth of the support and loyalty that Yo San University has earned from individuals, foundations and companies from near and far through its outstanding history of education and clinical service. The celebratory evening was capped off by dessert and further conversation in the Qi Studio. Yo San University is extremely proud and appreciative of its broad range of donors who have made the decision to share in the mission of the University through personal philanthropy.
