Dr. Lina Liang, MD, PhD, Director of the Ophthalmic Lab and Associate Professor at the Eye Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS), Beijing, China, presented a public lecture at Yo San University of the topic of “Solving Difficult Eye Diseases with Chinese Medicine”
This was a rare opportunity for the YSU community to hear data and case studies from one of China’s foremost ophthalmology practitioner/researchers. Dr. Liang’s presentation focused on the integration Western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in solve difficult ophthalmology cases, and the biomedical research and science behind the clinical studies.
Over 30 attendees showed up for the presentation, including YSU students, faculty, staff as well as licensed acupuncturists from the community.
The presentation was made possible through collaboration with the UCLA Center for East West Medicine, and Dr. Ka-Kit Hui, M.D., Professor, Wallis Annenberg Chair of Integrative East-West Medicine and Director, Center for East West Medicine, Department of Medicine, UCLA.
