Internet Marketing Expert Addresses Yo San Community

On Thursday October 18, 2012 a capacity crowd of Yo San University students, faculty, staff and other constituents gathered in the Qi Studio to hear internet marketing expert, Carlos Caridad, who shared his knowledge and expertise regarding attracting potential clients/consumers to a website. Caridad holds a master’s degree from the Technological University of Argentina, and has more than ten years of experience in helping businesses and practitioners with the nuances of website construction. He is a “search engine optimization” guru. Mr. Caridad’s presentation was tailored for individuals who are seeking to build their acupuncture practices. Caridad facilitated a lively and interactive session with many very specific recommendations from his experience and many questions and comments from the participants. He emphasized the importance of choosing key words, and asserted that it is not just the key words, but also their placement and their repetition on the website that is likely to draw consumers searching the vast world wide web for resources. Practitioners need to be aware of the factors of “traffic” (the number of people that go to a site) and “conversion” (the length of time that viewers spend on the site). His presentation also explored the concepts of text, meta text and the emotional appeal of a website. He also explained the advantages of building a site with “back links” so that there is back up and connection to blogs, You Tube, Twitter, and other links that reinforce the message of the practitioner. Our community is appreciative of the insights that Mr. Caridad shared and look forward to seeing them implemented to enhance the practices of Yo San University constituents.
