Master's Program Faculty

Among the most important relationships you’ll make at Yo San are the ones you’ll form with your professors. These extraordinary teachers and practitioners have chosen Yo San—and Yo San has chosen them—because they have a talent and a passion for teaching TCM students, combined with a sophisticated command of their disciplines. Several instructors studied, taught and practiced at some of China’s top TCM Universities; some come from distinguished families of Chinese practitioners; and others trained at American TCM and Western Medical Schools.



Fritz Hudnut, DAOM

Dr. Hudnut has maintained a private practice in West Los Angeles using the Art of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) to help people since 2000. He also presently serves as a clinical supervisor in the Yo San student intern clinics.



Natalie Jiaravanont,

Originally from Thailand and Hong Kong, Natalie grew up with Traditional Chinese Medicine and decided to pursue a more personal approach to healthcare as she studied and received her Traditional Chinese Medicine Masters degree from Yo San University in Los Angeles where she graduated with honors. 

Hong Yun


Hong Yun Jin,

Dr. Hong Yun Jin trained in China. She has been practicing acupuncture and herbs since January 1996. She has been a supervisor in the DAOM clinic at Yo San University since 2012.



DJamal Kord , MATCM, L.Ac.
Program: MATCM

DJamal graduated from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2001 and went on to receive a doctorate in acupuncture with a focus in Tung's Magic Points. 



James Langford, DC
Program: MATCM

After receiving a Bachelors and Masters degree in education and biology from California State University his health care training began at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles where he graduated “Cum Laude” and opened his own Chiropractic Practice in Southern California.



Seth Leon, B.S., MATCM
Program: MATCM

Seth Leon is a Senior Instructor in the Harmony Taijiquan sequence at Yo San University. Seth trained intensively under Master instructor Jiang Jinye of the Capital District Tai Chi Association in Albany, NY from 1990 through 1996.

Ming Dong


Ming Dong Li, B.Med., M.S., Ph.D. (China), L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM)

Currently, Dr. Li practices and teaches at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine, is an instructor of Chinese Internal Medicine, Tuina and Taiji at Yo San University. Dr. Li’s new textbook Chinese Internal Medicine is now available from People’s Medical Publishing House.

Yue Ying


Yue Ying Li, L.Ac., MD (China)

Dr. Yue-ying Li comes from a long line of Chinese Medical Doctors. Her medical studies unofficially began as an active youth curiously tending to her own athletic injuries. This curiosity of medicine led her to study at the Luzhou University Medical School where she earned her Doctor of Chinese Medicine Degree.

Benny Jun


Benny Jun Lin, L.Ac
Program: MATCM

Benny J. Lin graduated from Guang Xi University of TCM, China in 1984. He subsequently completed postgraduate studies at the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In addition to his formal academic education, Benny Lin also trained extensively under various renowned specialists and scholars of TCM.



Daoshing Ni, DOM, PhD, L.Ac.

Dr. Daoshing Ni, L.Ac., OMD, PhD, MBA, is a University co-founder, a teacher and a TCM practitioner for the past 30 years. Dr. Dao brings a wealth of clinical knowledge to the courses he teaches and currently serves as chair of the DAOM specialty program in Women’s Health and Reproductive Medicine.

Mao Shing


Mao Shing Ni, D.O.M., Ph.D, L.Ac., ABAAHP

After earning his D.O.M. and Ph.D. in Oriental Medicine with an emphasis in Nutrition Dr. Mao went on to complete his postgraduate residency at Shanghai Medical University in China. Dr Mao lectures on Chinese medicine, wellness and longevity throughout the world.



Rosaleen Ostrick, MT (ASCP) S.M. (AAM), MPH, MA.
Program: MATCM

Rosaleen graduated from Yo San University in 2012. She is the Admin Director at Retina Clinical Research, Jules Stein Eye Institute / UCLA



Luriko Ozeki, L.Ac.
Program: MACTM

Luriko Ozeki has over 10 years of experience in nutrition and preventative health care, having helped countless people regain better health and a healthy lifestyle through nutritional counseling.

Meredith Chun-yi


Meredith Chun-yi Qian, L.Ac. B. Med., M.Med.

Dr. Meredith Chunyi Qian is a California licensed Acupuncturist who received her M.D. degree in 1983 in China. She then also earned her Master Degree of Acupuncture Science in 1986 at the distinguished China Academy of TCM at the Institute of Acupuncture in Beijing, China. 



Michael Redmond, RN., BA.
Program: MATCM

Mr. Redmond is presently a S.I.C.U. nurse at Santa Monica Hospital and a senior faculty member. He has a wide range of clinical experience including trauma, intensive care, anesthesia, and home health.
