Western Nutrition
WM 220 - 3 units - 45 hours
The course introduces the principles of nutrition, nutritional assessment, examines the functions and metabolic pathways of major nutrients, vitamins and minerals, and the diseases associated with excess and deficiency of these nutrients. Students will also learn to analyze and evaluate a patient's nutritional intake to identify and treat a variety of commonly encountered conditions.
