Yo San University (YSU) is approved to grant the degree of Master of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (MATCM). YSU has been approved by the California Acupuncture Board to have graduates qualify for the California State Licensing examination. Graduates also qualify for the examination offered by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Acupuncturists are licensed by the Acupuncture Board, State of California Department of Consumer Affairs. The California State Acupuncture Board also approves YSU as a provider of continuing education certification renewal for licensed acupuncturists.

 

The degree Master of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine of Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is also approved by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM). ACAOM is recognized by the US Department of Education and is the accrediting agency for the approval of programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners.

Exemption

Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is exempt under Section 94750 from approval by the Bureau for Private Post-Secondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE).

2009 Yo San Self Study Report

The University compiled the 2009 Self Study Report in preparation for May 2010 site visit from the Accrediation Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).

20th Anniversary Extravaganza

YSU’s 20th Anniversary fundraising celebration took place on October 15, 2009 at the Beverly Hills home of Rhea Perlman and Danny DeVito, a house of Hollywood legend dating back to the 1920s. Inside the garden gate, YSU volunteers garbed in colorful Chinese silk shirts greeted the guests. Whimsical Chinese lanterns stood as centerpieces on each of the tables in the garden, while spectacular sprays of flowers were placed on the stage and serving tables.
