Becky Maher Castano L.Ac, MATCM Dip.OM,
Becky was born and raised in California where she developed a deep passion for Nature, gardening, nutrition and family wellness. After witnessing natural water child birth at the ripe young age of 8 it began a deep love for childbirth. She had experience as Doula formly trained by the DONA (Doulas of North America) was honored to attend births. Becky had ambition to pursue a career as a Nurse Midwife, yet when she discovered the vast, endless benefits of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Becky has been receiving acupuncture consistently for over 13 years now and is a mother of two son’s whom in which were both home-birth’s.
Becky attended Yo San University located in Los Angeles, one of the nation’s leading Chinese Medical Graduate programs, founded by eminent 38th generation Doctors Daoshing and Maoshing Ni. Becky has well over 3,000 hours of clinical experience at Yo San University Community Clinic, she also has participated in externships such as Venice Family Clinic and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She graduated with a Masters of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and is licensed to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine by the California Acupuncture Board. She is a Candidacy with the NCCAOM for Diplomate of Oriental Medicine and Texas Medical Board Acupuncture License .
In addition to her medical training Becky is certified Reiki 2 practitioner, M’lis Spa Body Contour certified, facilitater resonates with a assisting Families with holistic lifestyle changes. Becky is currently founder ofHouston Holistic Moms hosting educational and fun playgroups and mom’s nights.
