Yo San Faculty

These extraordinary teachers and practitioners have chosen Yo San—and Yo San has chosen them—because they have a talent and a passion for teaching TCM students, combined with a sophisticated command of their disciplines. Several instructors studied, taught and practiced at some of China’s top TCM Universities; some come from distinguished families of Chinese practitioners; and others trained at American TCM and Western Medical Schools.

Joseph Adams, L.Ac., MTOM
Program: DAOM

Joseph was certified as a massage therapist in 1992. Although his initial training focused on Swedish style massage, he gained expertise in Asian techniques while pursuing his Acupuncture Degree. 



Marilyn Allen, M.S.

Marilyn Allen is a well-known expert in the fields of acupuncture and medical malpractice. She is also the current director of marketing for the American Acupuncture Council.



John Barber, L.Ac., BA., MS.
Program: MATCM

John Barber has nearly two decades experience in teaching energy movement, and has helped thousands of students of all ages and abilities to enjoy the benefits of these dynamic movement arts.



Alfredo Briones, MD(Philippines), MATCM
Program: MATCM

Dr. Briones holds a B.S Degree in Psychology and a Doctorate degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines.

Curt Callison has been involved with the healing movement arts for over thirty years. 



Julie Chambers, L.Ac.
Program: MATCM

Julie Chambers was introduced to Chinese medicine in 1991 and began her studies in Chinese medicine at Yo San University the same year. After graduating with the University's highest honors in 1996, she began her private practice of acupuncture and herbal medicine.



Stephen Chee, MD, MATCM
Program: DAOM

Dr. Stephen Chee is interested in the integration of Eastern and Western medicine as well as Mind-Body medicine.  He received his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in 2001, completed his Family Medicine residency at Glendale Adventist and is Board certified in Family Medicine.



Yamin Chehin, L.Ac.
Program: MATCM

Yamin developed a creative method for acknowledging habitual patterns of movement and guiding students toward releasing stress loads unnecessary stored in muscles and bones. Her lifelong involvement with communication and body movement awareness, eventually lead to a more formal study of the patterns of energy flow along the human body meridians described by Chinese Medicine. 



Brady Chin, BA, MSOM
Program: MATCM

Brady earned his BA from Boston University and a MSOM(Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine) from Samra University. He has over twenty years of experience in athletics, yoga, qigong and martial arts.

David Cohen, BA, MFA, L.Ac.
Program: MATCM

 David Cohen has a B.A. in English Literature from Swarthmore College and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from San Francisco State College. He received his Acupuncture Certificate from the California Acupuncture College in 1985 and has been in private practice since 1986.



Laraine Crampton, L.Ac., DAOM
Program: MATCM

She graduated from Yo San University in 1998, and completed Yo San's DAOM in Healthy Aging in 2014. Dr. Crampton is a member of Yo San's Qi development, academic and clinical faculties.



Diane Cridennda, L.Ac., FABORM.
Program: DAOM

Diane K. Cridennda graduated from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in l995 with her Masters of Oriental Medicine degree. She trained in Beijing, China to explore the root of this ancient healing art. She is NCCA certified, licensed in Colorado and is a member of Resolve, a national infertility support group. She has also had extensive training in Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine.



Margo DeLeaver, MD.

Dr. Margo Deleaver is a board certified physician, trained in both Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She received her medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and studied TCM at Yo San University.

Wing Benn


Wing Benn Deng, L.Ac, Ph.D.
Program: MATCM

Upon graduation Dr. Deng experienced some personal health problems that altered his thinking about Western medicine. He decided to focus on holistic healing and entered the graduate program at Yo San. 



Paul Des Rosiers, L.Ac., M.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
Program: MATCM

Paul graduated from Yo San in 2000. He has his private practice in Fallbrook, CA.



Douglas Eisenstark, BA, MFA, MTOM, L.Ac.
Program: MATCM

Doug Eisenstark earned a BA from Hampshire College, a MFA:in Film and Photography from Art Institute of Chicago and a MTOM from Emperor's College



Cormac Ferguson, M.T.O.M

Cormac Ferguson M.T.O.M, Dipl. Ac & CH, L.Ac., a board certified Herbalist and Acupuncturist, is a passionate advocate of Traditional Chinese medicine, he is also a dynamic and entertaining speaker with a modern approach to the teaching of Chinese Herbal formula construction. 



Nai-Qiang Gu, BMed: Shanghai University of TCM, China
Program: MACTM

Descended from the famous Gu family lineage of Shanghai, Nai-qiang Gu was steeped in the rich tradition of Chinese Medicine from an early age. He graduated from Shanghai University of TCM and has more than four decades of clinical experience



Theodric Hendrix, Jr., MD
Program: DAOM

Dr. Theodric Hendrix is an Obstetric, Gynecology, and Infertility physician, with a medical education from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN and completed residency at the University of Los Angeles, Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Infertility.
