Doctorate In Integrative Medicine: Reproductive Medicine

Daoshing Ni, OMD, Ph.D, L.Ac.– Co-founder of Yo San University, Chair of Integrative Reproductive Medicine Specialty/DAOM Specialty

Dr. Daoshing Ni was born into a medical family from China that spanned many generations. He began his study of Chinese medicine at an early age with his father Hua-Ching Ni, a renowned Taoist master, physician of Chinese medicine and noted author. After completing advanced studies in TCM Internal Medicine, Gynecology and Pediatrics at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Dao went on to earn double doctorates with an emphasis in Gynecology from Samra University of Oriental Medicine.  

In private practice since 1984, Dr. Dao co-founded the Tao of Wellness in Santa Monica, California with his brother and specializes in Women’s Health and Reproductive Medicine. Over the years, he has become one of the foremost authorities in TCM Reproductive Medicine in the United States and has lectured at reproductive symposiums and gynecology conferences around the country. He co-founded Yo San University and is a past President. His latest book, The Tao of Fertility, was published in April 2008.

Meredith Chunyi Qian, MD, LAc. -  faculty 

Dr. Qian is a licensed acupuncturist who earned her medical degree in China in 1983 and her Masters degree in Acupuncture Science at the Institute of Acupuncture in Beijing China ( China Academy of TCM). Dr. Qian has nearly 30 years of experience researching, practicing and teaching Integrative Medicine, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. Dr. Qian has maintained a successful private practice for many years in Beverly Hills with the emphasis on TCM comprehensive management of infertility and women health issues.

Paul C. Magarelli, M.D., Ph.D. -faculty 

Dr. Magarelli is the founder and Director of Reproductive Medicine and Fertility Centers in Colorado Springs and Albuquerque, New Mexico.  He was trained as a Ph. D. scientist with a specialty in Reproductive Biology and Nutritional Biochemistry. He received his medical degree at the University of Arizona and his Residency training in Ob/Gyn at Duke University.  He then trained at UCLA/ Cedar’s Sinai’s prestigious Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility Fellowship program.  He is board certified in Ob/Gyn and subspecialty board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility.  In addition to his pivotal faculty role at Yo San, he is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of New Mexico.

Paul Magarelli is at the forefront of research in acupuncture and Reproductive Medicine. He has collaborated with his wife, Dr. Diane Cridennda, a licensed acupuncturist, to write chapters in textbooks, and publish seminal research related to the integration of Acupuncture therapies with IVF.
