Lois Green


Ms. Green has more than three decades of combined experience in healthcare management, applied research and graduate education.


YSU’s new President, Lois Green, is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (B.A. Cultural Anthropology) and earned a master’s degree in health administration (M.H.S.A.) from the University of Michigan, School of Public Health. As an educational leader and clinical associate professor in USC’s Price School of Public Policy, Lois was deeply engaged in health program administration, student and faculty affairs, and curriculum development for nearly a dozen years. Among accomplishments at USC, she spearheaded the creation and successful launch of an Executive Master of Health Administration degree program, and significantly expanded involvement of health alumni and the external professional community. She possesses a strong background in grants and applied research, and maintains a research affiliation with USC’s Center for Health Financing, Policy and Management. In addition to her work at USC, Lois previously taught at UCLA, UC-Irvine, and UC-San Francisco. She was a founder and principal of a healthcare consulting practice focused on leadership, strategy, program development and implementation. She previously held senior executive positions with two large Southern California integrated health systems and a large healthcare trade association in Pennsylvania.
