DJamal graduated from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2001 and went on to receive a doctorate in acupuncture with a focus in Tung's Magic Points.
As a child in Iran, DJamal saw herbs being used medicinally in his family, sparking a lifelong interest in traditional approaches to healing. He began studying Traditional Chinese Medicine in Los Angeles in 1996, learning acupuncture and developing a specialty in tui na, a Chinese massage practice that combines aspects of acupressure and body manipulation. In 2001 he graduated from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and went on to receive a doctorate in acupuncture with a focus in Tung's Magic Points.
DJamal is certified in the NADA protocol using acupuncture and herbal medicine for the treatment of substance abuse and addiction. Additionally, his practice has focused on the treatment and prevention of stroke and the relief of pain in a variety of orthopedic conditions. His compassionate wish to provide medical treatment to people regardless of their ability to pay has been a driving force throughout his practice, leading him to Tehran in 2007 where he worked in a busy clinic and had the opportunity to pursue his interest in Persian healing techniques.
