It was announced recently that Yo San University (YSU), Dean of Clinical Education, Albert Vaca, L. Ac., has earned a prestigious Fellowship position at the Tao of Wellness in Santa Monica, California.   Vaca earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Sonoma State University, and he is a 2006 graduate of the YSU MATCM Program.   After several years of private practice experience at an office in Westwood, in September 2009 Vaca accepted the position of Clinic Manager at YSU.  In November of 2010 Albert was promoted to the position of Dean of Clinical Education.   His work in scheduling, supervising and mentoring of both MATCM and DAOM interns for the past several years was instrumental in establishing solid policies during a time of rapid growth and expansion of the Yo San University Clinic.  Among his other accomplishments was the revitalization of the University’s continuing education offerings.    While carrying out his administrative duties at the University, Albert retained a strong interest in professional practice and devoted evening and weekend hours in that function in his Westwood office.   Vaca will transition to the Tao of Wellness Fellowship position in mid January 2014.  In the Fellowship position, besides being immersed in one of the busiest TCM private practices in the nation,  Albert will have the benefit of expert supervision from Yo San University Founders, Drs. Dao and Mao Ni, as well as numerous speaking, writing and Qi cultivation opportunities.  Albert’s many talents will be missed in the YSU Building, and we know that the opportunities afforded by the Tao of Wellness Fellowship will further advance both his skills and the TCM profession.
