John Blaska, L.Ac. is the president and founder of Everspring Health-a lifestyle, health and healing cooperative in Minneapolis, MN. Determined to change the existing reality in healthcare, John conducted research in India, Canada, Europe and the United States regarding the development of his integrative clinic. His vision of a more appropriate healthcare model involves a therapy first approach, where the first line of healthcare is therapies like acupuncture, chiropractic, physical therapy and lifestyle consulting, instead of expensive, and often unnecessary, medical procedures.
John has a full history of social and community involvement. In conjunction with the University of Minnesota, he developed the Lifestyle Leadership Degree, a degree that focuses on human development and the process of refining an individual's lifestyle by balancing one's personal goals and intentions with external principals and influences. He lobbied for its acceptance as a Bachelor of Science degree by the University, and went on to earn a degree in Lifestyle Leadership from the University of Minnesota in 2005. John is also involved with many volunteer groups such as Jimmy's Kids, the Tibetan Children's Village, Meal on Wheels and more.
When John is not practicing in his clinic or attending class at Yo San University, you may find him ballroom dancing, baking, golfing, taking photographs, or camping. He is currently completing his doctoral studies in Longevity and Healthy Aging. His research has been focused on the growing need for better primary care resources that, affordably and sustainably, improve the quality of life for all.
