At a Community Presentation conducted on May 20, 2014, Bill Mosca, Executive Director of the California State Oriental Medicine Association (CSOMA) met in the University’s Qi Studio with a large group of Yo San students.  Mosca’s primary message to the group was the importance of involvement in  professional organizations.   Mosca introduced the topic by detailing CSOMA’s twenty-five year history as a coalition of Chinese, Korean, Japanese and English language professional societies.  The CSOMA organization has a history of productive involvement in legislative and regulatory issues that relate  to the profession of Oriental Medicine.   Mosca added that representatives from CSOMA have consistently  attended and participated in the meetings and hearings of the California Acupuncture Board.   The well informed group of students posed a number of questions to Mosca.  Kudos to Bill Mosca and the excellent showing of Yo San University Students for their care and foresight in engaging discussions that will shape professional image of the next generations of Oriental Medicine healers.
