Yo San University Graduate (class of 2006), James Evans makes conception easier with his use of Western and Chinese medicine to create a baby boom in his town of Perth Western Australia.
James Evans moved from Australia to attend the University of Rochester in New York, and graduated with his Masters of Business Administration. Upon completion he was offered a job in Charlotte, North Carolina working for an independent power development company. There in Charlotte he met Hua-Ching Ni, a 36th generation doctor of Chinese medicine, author and teacher of natural spiritual growth. Touched by his message, James began to explore his work and Chinese medicine. Through his exploration he discovered Hua-Ching Ni to be the father and inspiration to brothers Daoshing Ni and Mao Shing Ni, whom founded a traditional Chinese medicine school in Los Angeles, CA, Yo San University. In 2002, James moved to Los Angeles to begin his study. After graduating in 2006, James was awarded the highly acclaimed and competitive 3 year postgraduate fellowship at the Tao of Wellness in Santa Monica, CA, the private practice of Dr. Daoshing Ni and Dr. Mao Shing Ni, where is was under the close guidance and tutelage of both practitioners. In that time, James was particularly fortunate to gain more specialized training by Dr. Daoshing in fertility and gynecological issues.
In 2009, James moved back to Perth, Australia where he and his wife, Barbara Wolff opened Living Wellness Center where they both practice. Over the past 4-5 years James and Barbara have developed a successful and busy practice with a focus on women’s health, particularly fertility and pregnancy care. In addition to the care and treatment of an array of illnesses and conditions, James has developed a strong referral from two fertility clinics based on positive feedback and success from patients. At the Living Wellness they provide dedicated and quality healthcare and healing support. James says that “Last year, 52% of my new fertility patients had positive pregnancies. Most of them had been on IVF, many were recommended by fertility clinics, and most had [much] difficulty conceiving.” James’s treatment consists of a detailed analysis of a women’s medical history and combines his analysis with the expertise his wife brings to the treatment process through her 15+ years as a qigong tai chi instructor. “Qigong helps us reduce and manage anxiety and promotes ease and well-being in our body. It does this by reconnecting us deeply to -our life and to the nature of life as a whole.” - Barbara Wolff
Currently James is a fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine, a member of the Australian Acupuncture Chinese Medical Association, and is registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia. He is forever grateful for the influence or rather guidance gained by his interaction with Hua-Ching Ni, which ultimately set the stage for his work, his passion in healing through the arts of Chinese medicine. His training received at Yo San University made clear his capabilities to progress and further integrate Chinese medicine into the western medical world. James continues to stay active in the field and guiding his patients to a place of balanced health and wellness for each individual.
