Shaheed K. Abdullah, L.Ac – Shaheed is the CEO and founder of Pro Sports Healing Inc., and Acupuncture Case Manager for Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. He is a National Board Certified Orthopedic Acupuncturist and a California licensed acupuncturist. A graduate of Yo San University, Shaheed served as a consultant to NBA & NFL players, athletic trainers and coaches. Shaheed not only educates clients on how to integrate eastern medicine to balance the mind, body, & spirit; but has successfully integrated TCM practices with western medicine to prevent injuries, and to enhance health, longevity, and performance.

P. Shane Burras, LAc was named "Acupuncturist of the Year" for 2005 by the American Association of Oriental Medicine. He spent 18 years in the commercial insurance industry before transitioning into his career of choice as an acupuncturist. He serves as Co-Chair of the AAOM National CPT Code Task Force and Chair of the AIMS Insurance Committee. A Yo San graduate, he practices in Beverly Hills and Thousand Oaks.

Steven A. Carter, MS, M Ed, a distinguished graduate of Cornell University, also holds a Master's Degree in Education and a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology. Steven has worked in the academic field for over fifteen years. He has been an instructor at the Long Island Conservatory and the North Shore Academy, and has most recently served as the Dean of Admissions at Abraham Lincoln University Law School. Steven Carter is also the author of twenty books, including seven National Best-Sellers and one New York Times Bestseller.

John Chen, LAc, PhD, Pharm D received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy and his Ph.D. from South Baylo University. He is the president and founder of Evergreen Herbs and co-author of Chinese Medical Herbology and Pharmacology. He lectures widely on topics from both western and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Nai-Qiang Gu, LAc descends from the famous Gu family lineage of Shanghai, and is steeped in the rich tradition of Chinese medicine. He graduated from Shanghai TCM University and has more than 40 years of clinical experience. He has authored many research papers and several books. He has been a faculty member and clinical supervisor at Yo San University since 2001.

Ted Hall, LAc began his study and practice of Japanese acupuncture and bodywork over twenty years ago at the Kototama Institute. He brings over 20 years of practical experience, seven years of training in Oriental medicine and traditional bodywork, and eight years of teaching experience in Oriental medicine to the workshop. Ted was a popular faculty member at Yo San University before moving to Boulder, CO to join the faculty at Southwest Acupuncture College and establish his private practice there.

Jiling Hu, LAc received her gynecology and internal medicine degrees from Beijing University of TCM and Dong Zhi Men Hospital, in TCM and Western medicine. She was also the attending TCM physician at the esteemed China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing. She is a faculty member at Yo San University.

Ming-Dong Li, PhD (China), LAc earned his TCM medical degree and Ph.D. in Chinese Internal Medicine from Heilongjiang University of TCM, and spent two years studying tuina from the renowned professor Dr. Yu Da-Fang at Shanghai University of TCM. With two decades of practicing and teaching TCM in China and the U.S., he currently serves as a faculty member at the UCLA East-West Medical Center and Yo San University. Dr. Li also maintains a private practice at the Yo San University clinic.

Yue-ying Li, LAc received advanced training in Dermatology at Chengdu University of TCM and Sichuan Institute of Dermatology. She has been in private practice in China, England and the U.S. for two decades and has been an instructor and clinical supervisor at Yo San University since 1998. She also produces her own line of popular herbal creams.

Daoshing Ni, DOM, PhD, LAc earned his Doctorate in Oriental Medicine and Ph.D. in Oriental Medicine from Samra University, and completed post-graduate studies at Beijing University of TCM and Nanjing College of TCM. He maintains a private practice at the Tao of Wellness in Santa Monica and has spoken at conferences across the country. He is a co-founder, faculty member and Trustee of Yo San.

Maoshing Ni, DOM, PhD, LAc is cofounder of Yo San University and has a world-renowned practice at Tao of Wellness in Santa Monica. He has written many books, including the Tao of Nutrition, a required text for the California Acupuncture Licensing Exam, with Cathy McNease.

Cathy McNease, Dipl CH is a Master Herbalist and director of the health clinic at Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine. She is the co-author of 101 Vegetarian Delights.

David Twicken, DOM, LAc is a faculty member at Chinese Medical Schools since 1994, Dr. Twicken has taught acupuncture, Oriental philosophy, taijiquan, qigong, feng shui, I Ching, medical history and Chinese astrology. David specializes in the Taoist arts and has written twelve books, including I Ching Acupuncture, which he co-wrote with the legendary Dr. Chao Chen and his son Yu Chen, L.Ac. A faculty member of Yo San University, David teaches and lectures on Taoist Arts internationally, and maintains a private practice in Santa Monica, California.
